Basketball Recap: Ellis Extends Winning Streak to Two

If Ness City wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Ellis, they should've done a better job of containing Natalee North. The Ellis Railroaders sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 51-49 victory over the Ness City Eagles on Tuesday thanks in part to North, who went 10-for-18 en route to 21 points and eight boards. She is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as she's posted one of at least 50% in the last seven games she's played.

Another player making a difference was Addison Kohl, who posted 15 points and six assists. She has become a key player for Ellis: the team is 4-1 when she posts at least 15 points, but 4-8 otherwise.

The win made it two in a row for Ellis and bumps their season record up to 8-9. As for Ness City, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.

Coming up, Ellis will be playing in front of their home fans against Oakley at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Ellis has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
