Baseball Recap: Thomas Dale Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Thomas Dale extended their winning streak to three on Friday, bumping their season record up to 8-12 in the process. Everything went their way against the Meadowbrook Monarchs as they made off with an 11-5 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 15-3 back in April.

Peyton Puryear looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four).

At the plate, Owen Klimek was a standout: he went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Clint Greene, who went 2-for-4 with four runs, one stolen base, and one double.

As for Meadowbrook, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 11 of their last 12 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season. Their defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

On Meadowbrook's side, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jefferson Cruz Espinal, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.
