In Saturday's Canine Competition, Horizon prevailed. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Desert Mountain Wolves 6-4. The Huskies haven't had any issues with the Wolves recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Rio Ryu looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Quinn Robbins, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Chris Quigg, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Horizon's win bumped their record up to 11-6. As for Desert Mountain, they dropped their record down to 9-10 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Horizon is set to take on their familiar foe Arizona College Prep at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Desert Mountain will challenge rival Chaparral at 3:45 p.m. on Monday.
