Softball Recap: Goshen Eagles vs. Elba Tigers
After flying high against Highland Home last Tuesday, Goshen came back down to earth. The Goshen Eagles' tough 12-1 loss to the Elba Tigers on Thursday might stick with them for a while. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Goshen of the 12-11 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2023.
For Elba's part, A'Lyric Whitfield was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with a home run, four RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Danielle Tidwell, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
