Franklin County waltzed into their match on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the St. John Paul II Panthers by a score of 33-25. This was payback for the Seahawks, who suffered a 38-33 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Despite the loss, St. John Paul II saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Alyssa Jacobs dropped a double-double on 11 points and 13 rebounds. That was a full 44% of St. John Paul II's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's posted more than a third of the team's points.

Franklin County's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-1. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.3 points per game.
