Whittier RVT hadn't done well against KIPP Academy Lynn Collegiate recently (they were 0-5 in their previous five matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Wildcats blew past the Panthers 3-0. The Wildcats not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since March 27th (when they won 3-0).

While Whittier RVT won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-21, 25-23.

Whittier RVT's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-13. As for KIPP Academy Lynn Collegiate, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Whittier RVT will square off against rival Lynn Vo-Tech at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, KIPP Academy Lynn Collegiate is set to take on their familiar foe Salem at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
