Volleyball Recap: Pueblo South Takes a Loss

Pueblo South and Regis Groff squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Pueblo South had to settle for second. They came up short against the Fusion, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Fusion this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on Saturday.

Pueblo South's offense was headlined by Brody Dunlap and Xavior Calvo, who picked up seven kills apiece. They got some help from Eryc Heredia and his 31 assists. Finally, Calvo was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.

Pueblo South's loss dropped their record down to 23-7. As for Regis Groff, they are on a roll lately: they've won 17 of their last 18 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-3 record this season.

As of now, neither Pueblo South nor Regis Groff have any future games scheduled.
