Kamehameha Hawai'i and Waiakea played the most contested game in Big Island II this week, with Kamehameha Hawai'i eventually emerging with a 27-25 victory. Micah Kanehailua threw for 142 yards and 3 touchdowns during the win.
Konawaena took down Honoka'a 45-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Brandon Howes threw for 331 yards and 5 touchdowns in the win.
The Wildcats' dynamic duo of Howes and Chase Takaki proved tough for the Dragons to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Luca Vartic helped Konawaena's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 74 yards.

Makoa Chapa made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Wildcats beat Honoka'a. The 5-foot-10 junior racked up 3.0 sacks.
He went 21-33 with 1 interceptions.
Konawaena's Howes and Takaki have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading Big Island II in both passing and receiving yards. 5-10 quarterback Howes has thrown for 1,344 yards this season, while Takaki has 28 catches for 391 yards. Teofilo from Kamehameha Hawai'i leads the league in rushing with 509 yards.
