Basketball Game Recap: Linsly Cadets vs. Wheeling Central Catholic Maroon Knights

Linsly lost against Wheeling Central Catholic last Tuesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Linsly Cadets might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 71-61 to the Wheeling Central Catholic Maroon Knights, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Cadets came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' West Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 17th, while the Maroon Knights are ranked 118th).

This is the second loss in a row for Linsly and nudges their season record down to 3-7. As for Wheeling Central Catholic, their win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-1.

Linsly will face off against Summit Christian Academy at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Wheeling Central Catholic, they will take on Oak Glen at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
