Basketball Recap: Brookfield Takes a Loss

Brookfield managed to keep up with Pomperaug until halftime on Monday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Brookfield Bobcats lost 68-47 to the Pomperaug Panthers. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Bobcats have suffered against the Panthers since February 11, 2020.

Despite the loss, Brookfield still got an impressive performance from Danny Ciriello, who went 8 of 18 en route to 25 points and five assists.

Brookfield dropped their record down to 2-8 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Pomperaug, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-3.

Brookfield has already played their next matchup, a 60-51 win against Bassick on the 15th. As for Pomperaug, they will venture away from home to square off against Joel Barlow at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Pomperaug is facing Joel Barlow at the right time seeing as Joel Barlow is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
