Baseball Recap: Central Comes Up Short

Central and Chesnee squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Central had to settle for second. They came up short against Chesnee, falling 9-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Central of the 4-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2018.

Logan Olney made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs. Central is 2-1 when Olney posts three or more hits, but 5-13 otherwise.

This is the second loss in a row for Central and nudges their season record down to 7-14. As for Chesnee, they pushed their record up to 17-10 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home.

As of now, neither Central nor Chesnee have any future games scheduled.
