Basketball Recap: 12 Straight Home Wins for Pioneer

Pioneer won the last time they faced Live Oak and things went their way on Saturday too. The Pioneer Mustangs put the hurt on the Live Oak Acorns with a sharp 59-39 win. The Mustangs pushed the score to 50-29 by the end of the third, a deficit the Acorns cut but never quite recovered from.

Live Oak's loss came despite strong showings from Ethan Estrada Sanchez and Nathan Lozano. Estrada Sanchez went 5 of 10 on his way to 12 points and three steals, while Lozano posted 11 points and six rebounds.
