Softball Recap: Carlisle Drops Highest Score of Season Against Central

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Carlisle). They came out on top against the Central Tigers by a score of 18-13 on Wednesday. The victory was nothing new for the Bison as they're now sitting on four straight.

Ally Mooney was incredible, going 3-for-6 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in hits. Another player making a difference was Kiersten Taylor, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 4-for-5.

Carlisle always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .578. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Carlisle pushed their record up to 8-6 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Central, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 9-1.

Coming up, Carlisle will challenge Marion at 11:00 a.m. on March 28th. As for Central, they will face off against Conway at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Conway's pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so Central's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
