Montgomery Central takes loss despite strong efforts from Drew Yarbrough and Javon Blackmon

If the Montgomery Central Indians were feeling good off their 58-36 takedown of the Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central Tigers on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Montgomery Central took a hard 65-47 fall against Cheatham County Central on Saturday. Montgomery Central has struggled against Cheatham County Central recently, as their contest on Saturday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Montgomery Central's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Javon Blackmon, who scored nine points along with four steals, and Drew Yarbrough who scored 17 points. The contest was Yarbrough's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Christian Fox was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.

Leading Cheatham County Central to victory were Bryson Williams and Tucker Proctor. Williams scored 16 points, while Proctor scored 15 points. Another player making a difference was Sebastian Bryant, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds.
