Recap: Evans Trojans vs. Tavares Bulldogs

The Evans Trojans can finally bid farewell to their six-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They managed a 35-30 win over Tavares. The victory was just what Evans needed coming off of a 55-14 loss in their prior contest.

Leading Evans to victory were Jay James and Zaria Nelson. James scored 6 points, while Nelson scored 8 points along with 5 rebounds.

Evans pushed their record up to 1-6 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 18.7 points per game. As for Tavares, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Evans will challenge Freedom at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Freedom is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. As for Tavares, they will head out on the road to face off against South Lake at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully South Lake focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 37 on Thursday.
