Brocton has gone 9-1 against Westfield recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Bulldogs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Wolverines at 4:30 p.m. Brocton is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

Brocton couldn't beat Frewsburg on Saturday even though they stacked five runs on them in the second inning. The Bulldogs lost 16-5 to the Bears. That's two games in a row now that the Bulldogs have lost by exactly 11 runs.

Westfield came out on top against Cassadaga Valley on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run seventh inning. The Wolverines blew past the Cougars 10-4. The game was the first time the Wolverines have beaten the Cougars on their field since June 14, 2021.

Tristan Phillips made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 13 batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits (and only one walk). Those 13 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

In other batting news, Mason Baum was incredible, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Danny Bratton, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI.

Westfield's victory bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Brocton, their loss dropped their record down to 5-9.

Brocton took their win against Westfield in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 11-5 score. Will the Bulldogs repeat their success, or do the Wolverines have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
