Baseball Game Preview: Serena Huskers vs. Reed-Custer Comets

The Serena Huskers are taking a road trip to challenge the Reed-Custer Comets at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Neither Serena nor Reed-Custer posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Serena's offense. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Dwight on Tuesday. The Huskers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Reed-Custer also failed to score in their most recent game. They came up short against Coal City on Tuesday, falling 18-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Comets in their meetings with the Coalers: they've now lost three in a row.

Reed-Custer saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dhane Debelak, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Reed-Custer's loss dropped their record down to 5-21. As for Serena, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-8.
