Basketball Recap: Inglewood Starts Season with Win Against Lynwood + How To Watch

Inglewood gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 125-37 victory over the Lynwood Knights. The Sentinels have beaten the Knights the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Knights has come to flipping the script.

Jason Crowe Jr went supernova, dropping a triple-double with 43 points, ten assists, and 11 steals. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 18 or more in each of the last 28 games he's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Matthew Gibbs-Martinez, who went 8-for-13 en route to 21 points in addition to seven boards and five assists.

Inglewood smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in five consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Inglewood will be taking part in a tournament against Cabrillo at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Lynwood, they will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Lawndale at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
