Basketball Recap: Savannah Christian Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Savannah Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 59-39 to the Toombs County Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 62-33 back in January.

Toombs County's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Taylor Bland led the charge by putting up 23 points and seven rebounds. Those 23 points gave Bland a new career-high. Arianna Hill was another key player, dropping a double-double with 17 points and 11 boards.

Savannah Christian's loss dropped their record down to 5-20. As for Toombs County, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-17 record.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Bulldogs beat Savannah Christian by a score of 54-40 on Monday.
