Volleyball Recap: Mcintosh Comes Up Short in High-Profile Match with Blessed Trinity

McIntosh faced Blessed Trinity in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Chiefs fell just short of the Titans by a score of 2-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Chiefs of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2022.

Claudia Meditz paced McIntosh's offense, picking up 13 kills. Meditz got some help from Braelyn Ottolini and her 14 assists. Meditz was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Leading Blessed Trinity to victory were Ruby McDermott and Abby Woodward. McDermott had eight digs and two aces, while Woodward had six digs and two assists. Stella English also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

McIntosh's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Blessed Trinity, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-3.
