Dr. Phillips picked up another tournament win on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the University Titans 13-12. With that victory, the Panthers brought their scoring average up to 6.1 runs per game.

The team relied heavily on Jose Diaz, who scored a run while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Chris Pedrinan, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

The win got Dr. Phillips back to even at 9-9. As for University, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-6-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dr. Phillips will face off against Lake Minneola at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
