Football Recap: South Adams Comes Up Short

After some red-hot attacks on offense in their last four matchups, South Adams finally came back down to earth on Friday. They were outmatched by the Adams Central Flying Jets and fell 35-7. The Starfires haven't had much luck with the Flying Jets recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Tytus Lehman threw for 131 yards on 17 of 25 attempts. Wesley Summersett was his top target, picking up 58 receiving yards. On the ground, Will Patterson rushed for 61 yards.

South Adams' loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Adams Central, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

South Adams and Adams Central should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings. The Starfires will challenge Jay County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank advantage (93 vs. 254). Meanwhile, Adams Central (ranked 34th) will meet Southern Wells (ranked 274th) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
