Mitchell proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by three) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a set and slipped past the Hemingford Bobcats 3-2. This was a revenge game for the Tigers: when they faced off against the Bobcats back in September, they had to take a 3-2 defeat.
Mitchell was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 23-25, 19-25, 25-21, 15-13.
Ellison Paetow paced Mitchell's offense, picking up 11 kills. Paetow got some help from Kapri Stover and her 16 assists. Reese Sauer controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.
