Recap: Unity Christian Academy Phoenix vs. College Prep of America Thunder
The Unity Christian Academy Phoenix had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They walked away with a 43-36 victory over College Prep of America. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Unity Christian Academy also won the last time the pair played last Monday.
Fatima Iqbal and Sehrish Pandit certainly did their best on Monday to try and avoid the loss. Iqbal dropped a double-double on 14 points and 14 rebounds, while Pandit dropped a double-double on 13 points and 15 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Pandit has scored all season.
Unity Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 13-2. As for College Prep of America, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season.
Unity Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Grant Park at 5:00 p.m. on January 30th. Hopefully Grant Park focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 last Saturday. As for College Prep of America, they will head out on the road to square off against Islamic Foundation at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
