Elk Grove got themselves on the board against Sheldon on Friday, but Sheldon never followed suit. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Huskies 51-0. The victory continues a trend for the Thundering Herd in their matchups with the Huskies: they've now won six in a row.

Elk Grove's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Hudson Hall, who rushed for 35 yards and a pair of TDs. Hall also punched in two rushing touchdowns, which is notable because the Thundering Herd are 2-1 when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 2-3 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Chase Dyer, who rushed for 75 yards and one score.

Elk Grove's run defense was locked in: Sheldon could only muster 3.5 yards per carry. The team can thank Dominic Vazquez for the heroic effort on defense: he. Elk Grove didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 13.5.

The win got Elk Grove back to even at 4-4. As for Sheldon, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.
