Football Recap: Countryside Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Countryside can now relate to. They took a 6-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Gulf Buccaneers on Thursday. Considering the last time the Cougars couldn't score was back in March, the team can't take the result too hard.

Countryside didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Genessis Godinez-Gomez, Torrecia Marshall, and Nyarai Wilson picked up one apiece.

Countryside moved to 10-7 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Gulf, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 15-2.

As of now, neither Countryside nor the Buccaneers have any future games scheduled.
