Soccer Recap: Richmond Comes Up Short on the Road Against Mt. Vernon

Richmond kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They came up short against the Mt. Vernon Marauders, falling 6-3. The game was a close 2-1 at the break, but unfortunately for Richmond it sure didn't stay that way.

Jayden Anchang and Ben Holliday scored all three of Richmond's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

The win got Mt. Vernon back to even at 1-1.

Richmond has already played their next matchup, a 3-2 victory against Muncie Burris on the 21st. As for Mt. Vernon, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 7-0 win against Hamilton Heights on the 21st.
