Basketball Recap: St. Andrew's Episcopal Comes Up Short

St. Andrew's Episcopal was the 62-34 winner over Raleigh when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The St. Andrew's Episcopal Saints took a 60-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Raleigh Lions.

When it comes to explaining why St. Andrew's Episcopal lost on Tuesday, don't look at Jeffery Willis. Despite the final result, he went 11 of 15 on his way to 27 points. Those 27 points gave Willis a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of William Johnson, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 16 boards.

Even though they lost, St. Andrew's Episcopal smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in three consecutive matchups.

St. Andrew's Episcopal's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Raleigh, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 3-14 record this season.
