Basketball Recap: Green Bay East Comes Up Short

Green Bay East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They had to suffer through an 80-20 loss at the hands of the Shawano Community Hawks. While losing is never fun, the Red Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 354th, while the Hawks are ranked 57th).

Green Bay East's defeat dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Shawano Community, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season.

Looking ahead, Green Bay East is taking a road trip to challenge Antigo at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Shawano Community, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Hawks duke it out with the Thunderbirds at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Lakeland comes in on 11 and Shawano Community on five.
