 Silas had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7 runs), and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Lakes Lancers with a sharp  10-2 victory. That's more bragging rights for Silas, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
  Landon Smith made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out ten batters over  6.1 innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   four  hits. Smith was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring two  runs while going 1-for-4.
 In other batting news, Silas let  Jesse Bell and  Jackson Keeton loose on the outfield. Bell  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 1-for-2, while  Keeton  scored a  run while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was  Nathan Shouse, who  went 1-for-3 with two  runs and a  triple.
 On Lakes' side, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Carson Bailey, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-3.
 The  win  got Silas back to even at 3-3. As for Lakes, they are  on  a  four-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 1-5-1.
 Silas will look to defend their home field  on Friday against Gig Harbor at 4:00  p.m. Gig Harbor's pitching crew has only allowed 1.2  runs per game  this season, so Silas' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Lakes, they will head out on the road to  square off against  Eatonville at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
