Soccer Game Preview: Signal Mountain vs. Howard Tech

The Signal Mountain Eagles will head out to take on the Howard Tech Hustlin' Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a five-game winning streak alive.

Signal Mountain's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They put the hurt on CSTHEA with a sharp 5-0 win. The result was nothing new for Signal Mountain, who have now won six games by three goals or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Howard Tech earned a 2-0 victory over East Ridge on Thursday. Howard Tech's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three contests.

Jaime Roman Pablo was the driving force of Howard Tech's attack as he scored both of Howard Tech's goals, bringing his season total up to eight goals.

Howard Tech pushed their record up to 8-4-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 17 goals over those five matchups. As for Signal Mountain, their win bumped their record up to 10-4-1.

Signal Mountain came up short against Howard Tech in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, falling 3-1. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
