Recap: Killingly Redmen vs. Norwich Free Academy Wildcats
The Killingly Redmen won the last time they faced the Norwich Free Academy Wildcats, and things went their way on Wednesday too. Killingly came out on top in a nail-biter against Norwich Free Academy and snuck past 32-30.
Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Brooke Bolles, who scored six points along with five steals. That's the first time this season that Bolles grabbed two or more steals. Selia Atchinson was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with six rebounds and five steals.
Killingly's victory bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Norwich Free Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Killingly will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against St. Bernard at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Norwich Free Academy will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Mercy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Mercy is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.
