Florida State University High School is 9-1 against Rickards since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Seminoles will host the Raiders at 6:00 p.m.

Last Thursday, Florida State University High School came up short against Wakulla and fell 4-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Seminoles in their meetings with the War Eagles: they've now lost six in a row.

Jaden White was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched six innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single walk, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in February.

On the hitting side, Florida State University High School saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brayden Chason, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Rickards had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They were the clear victors by a 12-3 margin over Godby on Saturday.

Troy Williams made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over 6.2 innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up a single earned run in six consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

In other batting news, Rickards got a massive performance out of Jakobi Winfrey, who scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Manny Hernandez, who went 3-for-5 with four RBI and one double.

Rickards was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .394. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Rickards' win bumped their record up to 6-14. As for Florida State University High School, their loss dropped their record down to 5-17.
