Highland Home's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Calhoun Tigers a 24-0 shutout. The Flying Sqdrn might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 contests by seven runs or more this season.

Tanner Sexton made a splash no matter where he played. He kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out ten over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. He has become a key player for Highland Home: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 5-6 otherwise.

In other batting news, Kent Beasley was a standout: he went a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Conner Sampley, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI.

Highland Home's win bumped their record up to 13-6. As for Calhoun, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.

Highland Home will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Tigers: the pair will be back at it again later today.
