Basketball Game Preview: Water Valley Blue Devils vs. Ingomar Falcons

Water Valley is headed into Friday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Tuesday. They fell 68-56 to Bruce. The Blue Devils were down 56-36 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Meanwhile, Ingomar faced Belmont in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. Ingomar blew past Belmont 56-36. The Falcons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 18 contests by 20 points or more this season.

Ingomar pushed their record up to 22-2 with the victory, which was their eighth straight on the road. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 25.2 points. As for Water Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 5-14.

Water Valley took a serious blow against Ingomar in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, falling 72-18.
