While Saint Mary's might've won, it sure wasn't easy: University scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 19-25, 25-18, 25-23.

Saint Mary's can attribute much of their success to Landry Fa'Afiu, who had 16 digs and three assists, and Lucia Parsons, who had four aces and one assist. Those 16 digs gave Fa'Afiu a new career-high. Corinne Jones also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.
They weren't the only good servers: Saint Mary's was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in three consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Del Oro unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-match winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of Woodcreek by a score of 3-2.
In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Del Oro sadly wound up on the wrong side. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 17-25, 25-20, 22-25, 15-6.
Saint Mary's will have to contain Lily Smith as she made an impact in Del Oro's last game. She had 17 digs and five assists.
Saint Mary's win bumped their record up to 25-8. As for Del Oro, their defeat dropped their record down to 26-11.
