Softball Recap: Davis County Victorious

While Davis County didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-22), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They skirted past the Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont Rockets 10-8. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 7-3 on Monday.

Davis County has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.9 runs over those games. As for Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-8.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Davis County will face off against rival Knoxville at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont is set to challenge their familiar foe Cardinal at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
