Softball Recap: Mills Vikings vs. Woodside Wildcats
Mills was the 9-3 winner over Woodside when they last played one another back in April, but their luck changed this time around. The Vikings fell 6-2 to the Wildcats on Thursday. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Kalia Woo was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she pitched 5.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits.
At the plate, Mills saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sydney Chu, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI. Audrey Jang also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Mills' defeat dropped their record down to 13-11. As for Woodside, their win bumped their record up to 15-9.
As of now, neither Mills nor the Wildcats have any future games scheduled.
