Basketball Game Preview: Meadowdale Mavericks vs. Mount Vernon Bulldogs

The Meadowdale Mavericks will take on the Mount Vernon Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Last Friday, Meadowdale was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 50-49 to Monroe. The matchup marked the Mavericks' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, Mount Vernon suffered their biggest defeat since January 13th on Friday. They took a blow against Stanwood, falling 59-23. The loss continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Spartans: they've now lost three in a row.

Meadowdale's defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-6. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.8 points over those games. As for Mount Vernon, their loss dropped their record down to 15-7.
