Recap: Paint Branch Panthers vs. Blair Blazers
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Blake, The Paint Branch Panthers were happy to have found some success on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 35-19 victory over Blair. For Paint Branch, this counts as revenge for the 25-18 loss Blair walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2022.
Roman Spikes was on fire: he rushed for 139 yards and four touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Markeith Hines, who rushed for 128 yards on only six carries.
Despite the loss, Blair still got an impressive performance from Quinn Stofa, who threw for 236 yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Stofa was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 58 yards.
Paint Branch's win bumped their record up to 4-4. As for Blair, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.
Paint Branch will head out on the road to face off against Bethesda-Chevy Chase at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bethesda-Chevy Chase is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games. As for Blair, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Blake at 6:30 p.m. Blake is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
