Softball Recap: Rancho Bernardo Has No Trouble Against Olympian

Rancho Bernardo barely beat Olympian the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Rancho Bernardo Broncos put the hurt on the Olympian Eagles with a sharp 7-0 win on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Broncos in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won five in a row.

The team relied heavily on Sydney Harmon, who scored a run while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in RBI (three). Ellery Housand was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Rancho Bernardo was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Olympian only posted a batting average of .167.

The win got Rancho Bernardo back to even at 3-3-1. As for Olympian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rancho Bernardo will venture away from home to challenge Santana at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Santana 2.6, Rancho Bernardo 3) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Olympian, they are taking a road trip to take on Steele Canyon at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Steele Canyon is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season.
