Softball Recap: Tullahoma Snags 13th Victory in Last 14 Games

After losing to South Pittsburg the last time they met, Tullahoma decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Wildcats blew past the Pirates 14-1 on Tuesday. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matches by seven runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Madison Goad, who fired off two home runs, six RBI, and three runs while going 3-for-3. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 3 RBI per game. Addyson Norman was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-1.

Tullahoma was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .357 or higher in six consecutive contests.

Tullahoma is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 games. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.6 runs over those games. As for South Pittsburg, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tullahoma will venture away from home to square off against Cascade at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for South Pittsburg, they will head out to take on Grundy County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
