Baseball Recap: Whitehall Has No Trouble Against Mason County Central

Whitehall not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since April 29th (when they won 13-1). Everything went their way against the Mason County Central Spartans as they made off with an 8-2 win. The victory continues a trend for the Vikings in their matchups with the Spartans: they've now won five in a row.

Evan Thomas was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Brock Morningstar was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Whitehall was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .391. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive matchups.

Whitehall's win bumped their record up to 9-15. As for Mason County Central, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-10.

Whitehall will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Spartans: the pair will be back at it again later today.
