Baseball Recap: Kickapoo Takes a Loss

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Kickapoo couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They came up short against the Blue Springs South Jaguars on Saturday, falling 18-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Chiefs have suffered since April 4th.

Kickapoo's loss dropped their record down to 27-11. As for Blue Springs South, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 22-9.

Coming up, Kickapoo will take on Willard at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers' pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so the Chiefs' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Blue Springs South does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
