Softball Recap: Lancaster Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for Lancaster's offense. They came up short against the Mesquite Skeeters on Thursday, falling 18-0. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lancaster's loss dropped their record down to 17-4. As for Mesquite, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-9-1.

Lancaster and Mesquite could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Lancaster will challenge Waxahachie at 7:00 p.m. on Friday down 433 places (599 vs. 166). Similarly, Mesquite (ranked 652nd) will meet Duncanville (ranked 85th) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
