Volleyball Recap: Monte Vista Comes Up Short

Monte Vista lost against Redwood back in August and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Mustangs took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Giants. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Avery Jernstedt paced Monte Vista's offense, picking up four kills. Jernstedt got some help from Diya Mathew and her eight assists.

Monte Vista's defeat dropped their record down to 21-8. As for Redwood, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season.

Monte Vista didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Dougherty Valley on the 14th. As for Redwood, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against San Rafael on the 15th.
