Basketball Preview: Sutton Sammies vs. Douglas Tigers        
        
		
            The Sutton Sammies will challenge the Douglas Tigers at 6:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Sutton is headed into the  matchup out to prove that what happened against Nipmuc Regional  on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Sutton took a  blow against Nipmuc Regional, falling  66-31. The  game marked the Sammies' lowest-scoring  contest so far this season.
 Despite their  defeat, Sutton saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays.  Brennan Benedict, who  posted seven  points, was perhaps the best of all. The team also got some help courtesy of  Gus Jacobson, who  had seven points.
Meanwhile, Douglas was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their third straight  loss. They had to suffer through a   64-24 loss at the hands of Blackstone-Millville. The Tigers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at  47-10.
 Sutton will have to keep a close watch on  Tadhg Higgins and  Cam Beauregard, a pair of players who had a big impact on Douglas' prior game. Higgins  earned six  points, while  Beauregard  put up five points.
 Douglas' defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Sutton, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost three of their last four matches,  which put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record  this season.
