San Mateo hasn't had much luck against Woodside recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the San Mateo duke it out with the Woodside at 4:30 p.m.

San Mateo fell victim to Hillsdale and their airtight defense on Friday. They came up short against the FIGHTING KNIGHTS, falling 5-0. While losing is never fun, the Bearcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 1015th, while the FIGHTING KNIGHTS are ranked 181st).

Meanwhile, Woodside hasn't lost a match since January 10th, a trend which continued in their latest game on Friday. They never let Jefferson onto the board and left with a 6-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won six contests by four goals or more so far this season.

Woodside's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-7-1. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those five matchups. As for San Mateo, their loss dropped their record down to 4-11.
