Volleyball Recap: Masuk Takes a Loss

Masuk and Bristol Central squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Masuk had to settle for second. They fell 3-1 to the Rams. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in November of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Masuk lost, don't look at Mary-Kate Boyle. Despite the final result, she had 28 digs and one assist. Boyle has been hot recently, having posted 12 or more digs the last three times she's played.

Finley Gray was the offensive standout of the match as she had 12 digs and two assists.

Masuk's loss dropped their record down to 22-12. As for Bristol Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season.

Masuk does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bristol Central, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Naugatuck on the 7th.
