Heritage Christian piles up the points against Kankakee Trinity Academy

The Heritage Christian Defenders scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They really took it to Kankakee Trinity Academy for the full four quarters, racking up a 59-26 win at home. Heritage Christian has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 21 points or more this season.

Sydney Lenting was her usual excellent self, scoring 20 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Nicole Lenting, who scored 14 points along with five steals.

Kankakee Trinity Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Farrah Schurman, who scored five points along with two steals. Abby Whited was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with three steals.

Heritage Christian has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-12 record this season. As for Kankakee Trinity Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-15.

Heritage Christian will be playing at home against Calumet Christian at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Kankakee Trinity Academy, they will take on Parkview Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Kankakee Trinity Academy is coming into the game with ten straight losses on the road, meaning Parkview Christian Academy will have to defend against a squad hungry for a victory.
